To obtain a nano synthesized material capable of preventing an intercalant or a matrix polymer from being degraded and useful for wrapping material of a food by compounding a specific intercalated material, its peeled off materials, and ethylene vinyl alcohol matrix polymer.
This nano synthesized material comprises (A) 40-99.95wt.% ethylene-vinyl alcohol matrix polymer and (B) 0.05-60wt.% phyllosilicate intercalation material or a peeled material thereof. The component B is prepared by bringing the phyllosilicate (B2) into contact with an interecalant (B1)-containing composition containing 2wt.% concentration of the intercalant (B1) without ethylene-vinyl alcohol to be sorbed between adjacent layers of the component B2 to regulate the distance of mainly adjacent platelets of the component B2 to be 5.
