Abstract:
To provide an intercom system capable of updating additional functional software without any influence on fire/gas leak alarm main functions.SOLUTION: An intercom system comprises: a sensor which detects one of a fire and a gas leak; a master unit 2A which can communicate with the sensor; and a slave unit which can communicate with the master unit. The intercom system further has: a first reception part 21 which receives a detection signal sent from the sensor; output parts 22a, 22b which output alarm information indicative of occurrence of a fire or gas leak; a first control part 23 in which first software for controlling the output parts based upon the detection signal is incorporated; second reception parts 31a, 31b which receive a signal sent from the slave unit; and a second control part which is provided communicably with and independently of the first control part, and in which second software for controlling the output part on the basis of the signal received by the second reception part is incorporated. The second software can be updated through an interface for the slave unit, and the update of the second software exerts no influence on functions of the first software.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
