To provide an interconnection method and device improving interconnecting ability between communication devices by the communication protocol.

Interconnecting ability between the communication devices is enhanced by controlling both HTTP version and header. An HTTP-HEAD generating section 104 generates an HTTP request for acquiring the HTTP version of a server 12 from an HTTP request received from a client 11, and an HTTP version determining section 106 determines the version from the response of the server 12. An HTTP request generating section 107 generates an HTTP request with the HTTP version and header information adjusted between the client 11 and the server 12, and transmits it to the server 12. Interconnection between the client 11 and the server 12 is thereby performed.
