Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide a sludge digestion tank capable of maintaining a good stirring state in a tank even if a tank body is formed to a flat shape like a rhombic shape. CONSTITUTION:A screw type stirring machine 2 is installed pendently in the upper part of the tank body 1 and a draft tube 3 is connected to this stirring machine 2. This draft tube 3 consists of a main pipe 10 installed pendently and an upper branch pipe 11 and lower branch pipe 12 disposed in the upper and lower parts of this main pipe 10. The upper branch pipe 11 and lower branch pipe 13 are horizontally branched and plural pieces of the branched pipes are radially mounted. The upper branch pipes 11 are provided with their discharge ports facing upward and the lower branch pipes 13 are provided with the discharge ports facing horizontally. The sludge sucked into the main pipe 10 is partly discharged to the periphery of the tank from the upper part of the tank body by providing the tank with the branch pipes 11, 12 and, therefore, the circulating flow returning to the central part from the periphery of the tank is formed and the stirring of the sludge is executed over the entire part of the tank. Dead spaceings are, therefore, no more formed within the tank.
