Title:
INTERFACE CONTROL SYSTEM AND POWER SOURCE CONTROL SYSTEM FOR MOORED BUOY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3652789
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the power consumption of the internal battery of a moored buoy by detecting the connection of an unnecessary external monitor during observing operation and performing ON/OFF control over power supply from the internal battery to an interface circuit for external monitor.
SOLUTION: While a moored buoy is moored, neither an external monitor 1 nor an external power source 2 is connected, so a jumper wire 19 is connected between lines (b) and (c) of an underwater connector 3. In this state, a CPU in a signal processor 5 automatically stops supplying electric power from the internal battery 6 to the interface circuit. Therefore, the power consumption of the internal battery 6 is reduced during mooring. When the external monitor 1 and external power source 2 are connected to the underwater connector 3, on the other hand, a semiconductor relay in a power control unit 4 turns OFF since the jumper wire 19 of the underwater connector 3 is broken. Consequently, the electric power is supplied from the external power source 2 to the signal processor 5 through supply lines (a), d2, and (d) and the internal battery 6 built in a pressure-tight container 7 needs not supply electric power.
