PURPOSE: To obtain an interior automotive parts having excellent light resistance under a high-temperature condition, dyed in a pattern of fashionableness by using quinophthalone-based yellow dye having excellent light resistance, capable of being subjected to discharge printing.
CONSTITUTION: Synthetic fibers such as polyester-based fibers are subjected to ground dyeing with quinophthalone-based yellow dye of the formula (X is halogen; A is COO or CONH; B is alkyl, alkoxyalkyl, aralkyl or alkoxycarbonylalkyl) by a conventional method. The fibers subjected to ground dyeing are printed with a sizing agent for alkali discharge printing containing sodium carbonate or potassium carbonate to give a dyed material having a printed pattern wherein the printed part is extracted into white. Showing fastness to light under a high-temperature condition, the printed material is extremely useful as interior automotive parts such as car seat and door trim. By using a sizing agent containing disperse dye for effect color of printing, the printed material can be subjected to coloring discharge printing to give interior automotive parts having fashionableness.
