Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve energy absorbing efficiency of a head part impact speed by standing a boss from the back face of a resin pillar garnish and fixing a clip seat face of a clip member to the boss by means of a clip, thermal caulking, or thread fastening.
SOLUTION: A pillar garnish 10a made of thermoplastic resin such as ABS resin is installed on an inner panel Pi side on the cabin inside, and on the back face of the pillar garnish 10, an energy absorbing rib 12 is formed in a space surrounded by a face along an occupant side side wall of the inner panel Pi cross section and a coating 11 of the pillar garnish 10. Between the energy absorbing rib 12 and the inner panel Pi, a clip seat 14 of a clip member 13 is fixed to a boss 15 formed from the back face of the pillar garnish 10 by means of a clip, thermal caulking, or thread fastening. In this way, energy absorbing efficiency can be improved even if a height dimension of the pillar garnish 10 main body is small.
