To provide an interlocking block having a good-looking laid surface with low heat storage, which hardly deforms even under a large load and hardly causes corrosion; and a manufacturing method thereof.
An interlocking block 1 comprises a wooden part 2 made of solid lumber having ribs 22 on the top face to form a nonslip patterned indented surface and a dovetail groove 21 on the bottom face to form a fitting recess, and a concrete part 3 made of permeable concrete having a fitting protrusion 31 on the top face corresponding to the dovetail groove 21 as fitting recess. Each of the dovetail groove 21 as fitting recess and the fitting protrusion 31 has a cross section of which the upper sectional area is larger than the lower sectional area. A method for manufacturing the interlocking block 1 comprises the steps of inserting the wooden part 2 with the face having a dovetail groove 21 as fitting recess up into a formwork, and injecting mixed permeable concrete material into the formwork so as to cover the face having a dovetail groove 21 as fitting recess of the wooden part 2.
