To provide intermediate cylinders by which the gap between the intermediate cylinders of a sheet-fed printing machine can be easily and quickly changed (adjusted) according to the thickness of sheets and time and manpower required for adjusting the gap between the intermediate cylinders can be reduced to a large extent.

The intermediate cylinder 34 arranged between a final impression cylinder and a reverse intermediate cylinder of the front face side printing machine has cylinder bodies 34a and a plurality of cover members 34b, 34c arranged along the outer peripheral face of the cylinder bodies 34a, the cover members 34b, 34c are constituted so as to turn to the cylinder bodies 34a or move outward or inward in a radial direction to the cylinder bodies 34a.
