Title:
INTERMEDIATE DRUM AND CONDENSER IN STEAM TURBINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3690973
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intermediate drum and a condenser in a steam turbine capable of preventing backflow of steam from the condenser to the intermediate drum, and improving diffuser effect in the intermediate drum.
SOLUTION: Low temperature steam flows from an exhaust chamber 50 into the intermediate drum 51 as illustrated with 70, 71, a heater 54 to be connected to a extraction steam pipe 53 is disposed at a position to interfere with an inflow stream by expanding size of X0 to X1 from a conventional center position. The heater 54 is set to make size of an inlet part of the intermediate drum 51 as X to satisfy X0/X>0.2. With this disposition, flow of steam interferes with the heater 54 to be direction-changed to be expanded outward, and it flows along a wall surface which conventionally has been a flow separation range due to backflow in a range E, thereby backflow is eliminated to improve a diffuser effect, and reduce loss.
