Abstract:

To provide a shim for damping vibration, mounted between a brake lining support of a disc brake and a braking member.

This disc brake comprises a brake lining support held on a yoke and supporting a brake lining 3. An intermediate plate 1 for absorbing the vibration is mounted between the brake lining support and a control member, and comprises a face 13 kept into contact with the control member, and a face as a face 14 opposite to the face 13 and kept into contact with the brake lining support 2. A holding member permits the displacement of the intermediate plate to the brake lining support 2 in the tangent direction of the rotating direction of a disc, and prevents the displacement in the other direction. This invention can be applied to a brake of a vehicle.
