Abstract:
To provide an excellent intermediate transfer belt for electrophotography by which generation of a cleaning defect is eliminated even when multiple sheets are printed and printed images having high quality can be continuously obtained and to provide a method for manufacturing the intermediate transfer belt for electrophotography by which a seamless belt can be continuously manufactured in a short time by extrusion molding of a specified thermoplastic polyimide in a ring shape.
The intermediate transfer belt for electrophotography is obtained by extrusion molding of a resin composition in a ring shape, having a polyimide resin having glass transition temperature of 200 to 350°C and 5 mass% decomposition temperature of ≥300°C.
