To provide an intermediate transfer belt that satisfactorily applies a transfer bias voltage even in the case where the belt has a joint formed by welding.
The intermediate transfer belt 70 used for an image forming apparatus includes: a belt body 71 having the joint 75 in which both ends of the beltlike base material are joined by welding; and an electrode section 79 disposed along the circumferential direction of the external surface 70a of the belt body 71. The electrode section 79 includes: a first electrode layer 76 disposed over the entire circumference of the belt body 71; and a second electrode layer 77 at least part of which is provided in a position different from the first electrode layer 76 in the width direction of the belt body 71 with respect to the intersection with the joint 75 and in a position that does not intersect with the joint 75.
