Abstract:

To provide a new intermediate compound effectively usable in producing cefdinir, and a method for effectively producing the cefdinir using the same.

Provided is the method for producing a cefdinir of general formula (7) characterized by comprising (a) a process of producing a compound of general formula (1) by reacting a compound of general formula (4) with an activating agent of general formula (5), (b) a process of producing a compound of general formula (2) by coupling the compound of general formula (1) produced in the process (a) with a compound of general formula (6), and then adding a secondary amine or a tertiary amine as a base to produce a compound of general formula (2), and (c) a process of reacting the compound of general formula (2) produced in the process of (b) under weakly basic conditions.
