Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intermediate transfer member having a coating layer which can well follow up a rubber layer, has good wear resistance, facilitates resistance regulation, satisfies functions, such as contamination prevention of a photoreceptor, toner adhesive prevention and reduction of a coefft. of friction and has excellent long-term durability.
SOLUTION: The coating film layer is formed of the coating layer which consists essentially of a urethane resin prepd. by excessively adding a polyisocyanate compd. at an NCO/OH molar ratio to a polyol compd. and curing these compds. and in which the solvent insolubility ratio of the urethane resin component is ≥70%. As a result, the coating film layer which is capable of surely preventing the occurrence of cracks in the good follow-up to the elastic deformation of the conductive rubber layer and has the functions, such as contamination prevention of the photoreceptor, toner adhesive prevention and reduction of the coefft. of friction, in conbination is obtd. The good images are thus surely obtd. for a long period.
