Abstract:

To obtain a technical means which has high efficiency and can reduce vibration and noise at the time of high loading and low loading by avoiding the generation of the knocking and excessive peak pressure of a combustion chamber at the time of the high loading, in a connecting rod of an internal combustion engine and the internal combustion engine having the connecting rod.

In the internal combustion engine, combustion pressure generated in the combustion chamber 3 of the internal combustion engine is received by a piston 6, and transmitted to a crank shaft 8 as a drive force through the connecting rod 9 connected to a piston pin 7. The connecting rod 9 is provided with a mechanism using the elasticity of lubricating oil, and can suppress a rise of the combustion pressure, and a compression ratio in a spark ignition engine is raised at the time of the low loading, so that the knocking is avoided at the time of the high loading and a friction loss of a compression ignition engine is reduced, thus improving the efficiency of the internal combustion engine.
