To provide an internal combustion engine control device detecting the content of alcohol in fuel without depending on an alcohol sensor and correcting an air-fuel ratio into a target value in accordance with the detected content of alcohol.
A vehicle control system 1 includes an alcohol content estimating means, an air-fuel ratio changing means, a revolution speed variation detecting means, an alcohol content calculating means, and an air-fuel ratio correcting means. It detects the content of alcohol in fuel from a revolution speed variation when controlling the air-fuel ratio of an internal combustion engine to a stoichiometric, rich or lean value in accordance with an estimated value for the content of alcohol in fuel, and executes control to correct the air-fuel ratio into the target value in accordance with the detected content of alcohol. Thus, it can correct the air-fuel ratio into the target value in accordance with the calculated content of alcohol, even in an operation region where it cannot execute the F/B control of the air-fuel ratio using an A/F sensor, when no alcohol sensor exists or a trouble occurs.
