Abstract:
To provide a control device for an internal combustion engine, which can ensure a differential pressure at a certain level or more across an EGR, which allows EGR gas to be recirculated, even in a transient state in addition to a steady state in a supercharging region and a non-supercharging region, and can further reduce a NOx generation amount.SOLUTION: An internal combustion engine has a turbocharger with a variable nozzle, and an EGR system. A control device has: a target supercharging pressure calculation unit that calculates a target supercharging pressure; a target supercharging pressure closing degree related amount calculation unit that obtains a closing degree related amount so that a supercharging pressure approaches the target supercharging pressure; a target differential pressure across EGR calculation unit that calculates a target differential pressure across an EGR; a target differential pressure ensuring closing degree related amount calculation unit that obtains a closing degree related amount so that a differential pressure of the EGR system approaches the target differential pressure across the EGR; a closing degree related amount selecting unit that selects a larger one of the target supercharging pressure closing degree related amount and the target differential pressure ensuring closing degree related amount, as a final target closing degree related amount; and a variable nozzle control amount output unit that controls a closing degree of the variable nozzle so that a closing degree related amount of the variable nozzle approaches the final target closing degree related amount.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
