Abstract:

To provide a control device for an internal combustion engine capable of inhibiting torque shock and sudden change of EGR quantity in change-over of turbo mode.

The control device for the internal combustion engine is applied to the internal combustion engine including a first and a second supercharger disposed in an intake air passage and an exhaust gas passage, an exhaust gas change over valve for adjusting a quantity of exhaust gas supplied to the second supercharger, and a movable nozzle vane attached to a turbine of the first supercharger. The control device for the internal combustion engine includes an exhaust gas change over valve opening detection means, a movable nozzle vane opening detection means, and a valve opening control means. The valve opening control means adjusts a target opening of one of the exhaust gas change over valve and the movable nozzle vane according to an opening of another and adjusts opening of one of the valves to the target opening so as to keep an exhaust gas pressure constant in changeover of turbo mode.
