Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a fuel amount on an intake passage inner wall while limiting the discharge of a large amount of unburnt HC into an atmosphere even at a cold start.SOLUTION: An internal combustion engine 1 comprises: an intake flow control valve 26 arranged in an intake passage at a downstream side of a throttle valve 24; a fuel injection valve 11 arranged in an intake passage at a downstream side of an intake flow control valve; and an electronic control unit 40. The electronic control unit stops an engine operation after performing a stop processing operation when the engine operation should be stopped, and when an opening of the intake flow control valve at the engine operation immediately before the stop processing operation is small, the electronic control unit enlarges the opening of the intake flow control valve during the stop processing operation compared with the case that the opening is large.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
