Abstract:
A controller (70) and a control method for internal combustion engine (10), and a memory medium are provided. A port injection ratio (RP) is changed according to an engine operating state of the internal combustion engine (10). The port injection ratio (RP) is a ratio of a port injection amount (QP) that is an amount of fuel injected by port injection valves (16) to an amount of fuel (Q) supplied to cylinders (#1 to #4) from the port injection valves (16) and direct injection valves (22). An injection reducing process (S22) causes a fuel injection amount in a reduced-injection cylinder (#1) to be smaller than a fuel injection amount in other cylinders (#2 to #4). An increase limiting process (S110; S210; S320) limits increases in an adhered fuel amount in intake ports (12a) by regulating the port injection ratio (RP) during execution of the injection reducing process (S22) (S100; S200; S300: YES) (Fig. 3).
