Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combustion device for internal combustion engines, which can prevent combustion states from deteriorating in an internal combustion engine driven by gaseous fuel. SOLUTION: An engine 11 is provided with a gaseous fuel injection valve 61 which injects natural gas directly into a combustion chamber 16. This gaseous fuel injection valve 61 is arranged so that the natural gas injected from the valve 61 gathers around an ignition plug 51. Since gaseous fuel such as natural gas is hardly mixed with gas such as air, it is liable to be unevenly distributed. However, the concentration of the natural gas around the ignition plug 51 becomes suitable for ignition by arranging such gaseous fuel injection valve 61.
