Title:
INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE EQUIPPED WITH AIR INLET PORT FOR TUMBLE STREAM FORMATION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2004144071
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To form a tumble stream efficiently by suppressing the interference of suction streams divided by a suction valve.

In an internal combustion engine 10, two suction ports 13, 13 are arranged in a cylinder 11, and each of the suction ports 13, 13 is arranged to introduce suction into the cylinder 11 in such a direction that the tumble stream T is formed. Further in the engine 10, walls 20a, 20a of an upper wall 20 disposed outside the suction port 13 when a cylinder head 17 is set upside of the cylinder 11 are formed to extend in the direction of the cylinder, while bending in the streaming direction with a larger curvature than those of other walls 20b, 20b disposed inside the suction port 13.
