Abstract:
The controller has a collector (12) for collecting high-pressure fuel. A fuel pump (11) e.g. low pressure trochoidal feed pump (11a), feeds the fuel into the collector. A fuel pressure sensor (20a) detects fuel pressure in a fuel supply passage (14) between the collector and an injection port of a fuel injector (20). An injection characteristic calculating section calculates an injection characteristic of the fuel injector based on a pressure difference of the fuel pressure detected by a set of pressure detecting sections and another pressure detecting section.
