Abstract:
 When predetermined reforming control execution conditions are met, reforming control is executed, whereby fuel for reforming is injected by an injecting valve (35) for fuel to be reformed, and fuel to be reformed is reformed by a fuel-reforming catalyst (36), generating a reformed gas. The pressure of gas downstream of the fuel reformer catalyst is raised according to the quantity of reformed gas generated by the fuel reformer catalyst during this reforming control, and the difference in pressure between the pressure during reforming control (the intake pressure detected by the intake pressure sensor (19) during reforming control) and pressure while reforming control is stopped (the intake pressure detected by the intake pressure sensor (19) while reforming control is stopped) increases. Focusing on this characteristic, the quantity of reformed gas generated during reforming control is calculated on the basis of the difference in pressure between the pressure during reforming control and the pressure while reforming control is stopped.
