Abstract:
To provide an internal combustion engine reducing nitrogen oxide in exhaust gas with low load.SOLUTION: An internal combustion engine 1 includes a separation device 7 for separating exhaust gas in a combustion chamber 3 provided in each of at least two cylinders 2 into first and second exhaust gas streams. The separation device 7 to which first and second exhaust lines 8, 9 are connected is configured to separate exhaust gas from the combustion chamber 3 into the first gas stream and the second gas stream. A device 10 for reducing particulate matters is disposed in the first component exhaust line 8 upstream of the separation device 7, and the separation device 7 is configured to separate exhaust gas from the combustion chamber 3 into the first gas stream for the first component exhaust line 8 and the second gas stream for the second component exhaust line 9. A temperature of the second gas stream is lower than that of the first gas stream.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
