Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal combustion engine system capable of suppressing the occurrence of surge in an electric compressor during the deceleration of an internal combustion engine while avoiding complicating a system configuration.SOLUTION: An internal combustion engine system comprises a turbocharger 20 having a turbocompressor 20a provided in an intake passage 14. The internal combustion engine system comprises a throttle valve 28 downstream of the turbocompressor 20a. The internal combustion engine system comprises a parallel intake passage 32 bypassing the turbocompressor 20a. The internal combustion engine system comprises an electric compressor 34 driving a compressor wheel 34a disposed in the parallel intake passage 32 by an electric motor 34b. If an internal combustion engine deceleration request is generated while the compressor wheel 34a is driven by the electric motor 34b, the electric motor 34b is made to stop driving the compressor wheel 34a before a throttle valve 28 starts a valve closing operation, and opens an intake bypass valve 24 after the throttle valve 28 starts the valve closing operation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
