Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine whether a gas pipe is connected to an intake pipe or not.SOLUTION: An internal combustion engine system include the intake pipe, a supercharger provided in the intake pipe, a first valve provided in the intake pipe at its upstream side further than the supercharger, a second valve provided in the intake pipe at its downstream side further than the supercharger, the gas pipe connected to the intake pipe between the first valve and the supercharger, and a third valve provided in the gas pipe. The internal combustion engine system determines whether the gas pipe is connected to the intake pipe or not, on the basis of a difference between a first characteristic value based on the flow amount of gas passing through the third valve at the time of controlling a pressure between the first valve and the supercharger to be the atmospheric pressure and a second characteristic value based on the flow amount of the gas passing through the third valve at the time of controlling the pressure between the first valve and the supercharger to be a negative pressure, when the opening of the third valve is unchanged.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
