Abstract:
This internal-combustion engine valve timing control device is provided with: an electric motor 8 which causes a camshaft to rotate relative to a timing sprocket; a pair of power supply brushes 31a, 31b to which electric power is supplied and which are provided in a cover main body 28 of a cover member 4 provided in such a way as to cover a front end portion of the electric motor; and doubled inner and outer slip rings 26a, 26b which are fixed integrally to a power supply plate 17 of the electric motor and with which the power supply brushes are respectively in electrical contact; wherein the power supply brushes are disposed spaced apart from one another to the left and right about a perpendicular line Q which passes through an axis P of the cover main body, and are provided in positions which do not overlap in the direction of gravity. By modifying the arrangement of the pair of power supply brushes, short circuiting due to abrasion powder can be suppressed.
