Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal combustion engine variable valve gear capable of suppressing an uneven force from acting on the roller of a rocker arm.SOLUTION: An internal combustion engine variable valve gear comprises: a pair of first cam portions 11 aligned in an axial direction of a camshaft at a distance therebetween and coupled to each other, and identical in cam profile; a pair of second cam portions 20, 20' located between the paired first cam portions 11 to be supported to be rockable relatively, and rocking integrally so as to be identical in cam profile; a third cam portion 20a located between the paired second cam portions 20, 20', and supported to be rockable relatively; a first lock mechanism locking the rocking of the paired second cam portions 20, 20'; a second lock mechanism locking the rocking of the third cam portion 20a; and first and second routes for applying hydraulic pressures to be able to switch over lock states of the first and second lock mechanisms, respectively.
