To provide an internal combustion engine with a spare combustion chamber and an ignition control device which improve unstable combustion at the time of a low load, especially deceleration.
The internal combustion engine with the ignition control device includes at least one combustion chamber 4, injection means 8, 18 for engine fuel or mixture of air and fuel in the combustion chamber 4, and an ignition means 7 for causing combustion of the mixture of the air and the fuel in the combustion chamber 4. The ignition means 7 is provided with a spark plug arranged in the spare combustion chamber 1 of which a boundary is fixed by a partition 12. The spare combustion chamber 1 is connected to the combustion chamber 4 through at least one opening 5 formed at the partition 12. The engine fuel is injected into the combustion chamber 4 by the injection means 8, 18 at the pressure of at least 250 bar so that the mixture of air and gasoline is generated and the penetration of the mixture into the inside of the spare combustion chamber 1 is promoted.
