Abstract:
To provide a technology which can stratify a mixture gas of fuel satisfactorily while maintaining a good ignitability.
An internal combustion engine charges the fuel 16 injected from a fuel injection valve 1, distributes the charged particles 13 of the same polarity as the charged fuel 7 in a predetermined region in a cylinder of the internal combustion engine, and stratifies the mixture gas of the fuel in the cylinder by utilizing an electrostatic repulsive force generated between the charged fuel 7 and the distributed charged particles 13.
