Abstract:
To more properly cause, in an internal combustion engine equipped with a fuel cell system, exhaust gas in the fuel cell system to flow into an exhaust passage of the internal combustion engine.
An internal combustion engine 10 comprises: a fuel cell system 50 which has a gas exhaust passage 60 connected to an exhaust passage 18 of the internal combustion engine 10; and a gas flow controlling device D which is configured to control a flow of exhaust gas in the fuel cell system 50 so that the exhaust gas in the fuel cell system 50 may flow into the exhaust passage 18 of the internal combustion engine. Preferably, the gas flow controlling device D includes a one-way valve 66 provided on the gas exhaust passage 60.
