Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal combustion engine that includes a primary balancer and a secondary balancer, has a small occupied volume and can be manufactured inexpensively.SOLUTION: An internal combustion engine 1 includes a crankshaft 30, a primary balancer 10, a first secondary balancer 21 and a second secondary balancer 22. The primary balancer 10 is arranged in parallel with the crankshaft 30, and is rotated at the same speed as that of the crankshaft 30 in a direction opposite to the crankshaft 30. The first secondary balancer 21 is arranged coaxially with the primary balancer 10, has an eccentric secondary weight 211 and is rotated at twice the rotating speed of the primary balancer 10 in the same direction. The second secondary balancer 22 is arranged coaxially with the crankshaft 30, has an eccentric secondary weight 221 and is rotated at the same speed as the rotating speed of the first secondary balancer 21 in the opposite direction.
