Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a variation of the transition of an injection rate in second injection as much as possible when performing boot-type injection in an internal combustion engine.SOLUTION: This internal combustion engine estimates a lift amount of a needle at a time point at which the supply of a first injection signal is stopped on the basis of a fuel pressure lowering amount in a fuel injection valve at a time point at which the supply of a first injection signal that is a command signal to the fuel injection valve for first injection is stopped. Then, the time for starting the supply of a second injection signal is determined so that the time for starting the supply of the second injection signal that is a command signal to the fuel injection valve for second injection is delayed and a lift amount of a needle at a time point at which the second injection is started becomes large as the estimated lift amount of the needle is large.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
