Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal combustion engine including an air cleaner having cyclone dust collection parts and a filter dust collection part, for actualizing proper discharge of dust from the cyclone dust collection parts.SOLUTION: An internal combustion engine 1 includes a backward inclined internal combustion engine body 2, and an air cleaner 32 arranged above the rear part of the internal combustion engine body, the air cleaner having a filter dust collection part 35 including a filter element 43, and a plurality of cylindrical cyclone dust collection parts 34 connected to the upstream side of the filter dust collection part in parallel with one another, the filter element and the cyclone dust collection parts having axial lines extending approximately vertically in parallel to each other, the plurality of cyclone dust collection parts being arrayed in front of the filter dust collection part side by side in the peripheral direction of the filter element, and having respective dust discharge ports 45D provided in the lower-end outer peripheries of body parts 44, 45 defining separation chambers 45C and opened toward the tangential direction, the dust discharge ports being opened obliquely frontward to the right or left side in the same direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
