Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a thermoplastic deposit to deposit in an injection hole part of a cylinder fuel injection valve.SOLUTION: An internal combustion engine comprises: a fuel injection valve for injecting a fuel directly into a combustion chamber; and a control device. On the basis of the operational state of the internal combustion engine, the control device performs: an estimation processing for estimating that a thermoplastic deposit is formed in the injection hole part of the fuel injection valve; a temperature control processing for raising the temperature of the injection hole part in the case where it is estimated that the thermoplastic deposit has been formed; and a removal processing for injecting the fuel from the fuel injection valve after the temperature control processing.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
