Abstract:
To optimally design a holding member of a crank shaft according to a specification of an engine.SOLUTION: An internal combustion engine has a cylinder block which has a plurality of cylinders; and a crank holding portion which is a member journaling a crank shaft coupled to a piston provided in the cylinder in a journal hole, and is fixed to the cylinder block. The crank holding portion has a first crank holding porion which having a first recessed portion that becomes one part of the journal hole on an end surface, and a second crank holding portion having a second recessed portion that is a recessed portion provided on an opposite surface to the first crank holding porion and configures the journal hole with the first recessed portion.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
