Abstract:
To provide an internal combustion engine that collects COin a gas and can improve the efficiency of converting the collected COinto fuel.SOLUTION: An internal combustion engine according to the present invention comprises: a COcapturing material that is disposed in a channel for a COcontaining gas and captures COin the gas; an Hsupply source; and a fuel synthesis catalyst that causes COdesorbed from the COcapturing material and Hobtained from the Hsupply source to react to each other to synthesize fuel with a molecular structure containing carbon and hydrogen. The internal combustion engine is installed with a moisture removal device that is disposed as a stage previous to the fuel synthesis catalyst and removes moisture in the gas desorbed from the COcapturing material.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
