Abstract:
To provide an internal combustion engine in which an anodic oxide film having satisfactory thermal insulation properties and swing characteristics is formed.SOLUTION: In an internal combustion engine in which an anodic oxide film is formed at least at a part of an aluminum system wall face facing a combustion chamber, the anodic oxide film has a plurality of nano holes extending nearly in a thickness direction of the anodic oxide film toward the inside from a surface of the anodic oxide film, a first micro hole extending toward the inside from the surface of the anodic oxide film, and a second micro hole existing in the anodic oxide film. Surface opening diameters of the nano holes at the surface of the anodic oxide film is 0 nm or larger and smaller than 30 nm, internal opening diameters of the inside of the nano holes are larger than the surface opening diameters, a film thickness of the anodic oxide film is 15 μm to 130 μm, and the porosity of the anodic oxide film is 23% or higher.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
