Abstract:
To enhance vaporization of fuel, in a port injection type internal combustion engine, by reducing an amount of fuel injected through an injector to be attached thereto in liquid form.SOLUTION: In a port injection type internal combustion engine where fuel is injected through an injector 11 toward an intake port 15 in a cylinder 1, a heater 17 and a water jacket 18, to which cooling water passed through an area around an exhaust port 16 is supplied, are arranged around the intake port 15 in a cylinder head. When the cooling water is at a low temperature less than a first temperature, the heater 17 is operated with the operation of a pump sucking and discharging the cooling water distributed through the water jacket 18 stopped. When the cooling water is at a temperature equal to or higher than the first temperature and less than a second temperature which is higher than the first temperature, both the heater 17 and the pump 19 are operated. When the cooling water is at a high temperature equal to or higher than the second temperature, the pump is operated with the operation of the heater 17 stopped.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
