Abstract:
To provide an improved method for cooling a pre-combustion chamber.SOLUTION: A two-stroke uniflow scavenging crosshead internal combustion engine comprises at least one cylinder 101, a cylinder cover 112, a piston 103, a fuel gas supply system, a cylinder cooling system, a pre-combustion chamber 114, and a scavenging system. The engine further comprises a pre-combustion chamber temperature regulation system for regulating the temperature of the pre-combustion chamber 114, and the pre-combustion chamber temperature regulation system comprises a heat exchange flow passage 191 that is adjacent to the pre-combustion chamber 114 for exchanging heat with the pre-combustion chamber. The pre-combustion chamber temperature regulation system is configured to circulate a heat exchange fluid through the heat exchange flow passage 191, in which the pre-combustion chamber temperature regulation system further comprises a control unit that is configured to control the flow of the heat exchange fluid and/or the inlet temperature of the heat exchange fluid.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
