Abstract:
To provide an internal combustion engine for achieving a good combustion state in a cylinder.SOLUTION: The internal combustion engine includes a communication path 15 having one end 15a opened to a site blocking an upper end opening of a cylinder 4 at the lower end of a cylinder head 3 and the other end 15b opened to the inner cylinder surface of the cylinder 4 above the upper end of a piston 5 in the state that the piston 5 is located at a top dead center. The opening of the other end 15b heads in the direction opposite to the direction that fuel F in the cylinder 4 flows in the plan view of the cylinder 4. The communication path 15 allows fluid A in the cylinder 4 to flow into one end 15a of the communication path 15 and flow out of the other end 15b of the communication path 15 with the movement of the piston 5 from a bottom dead center to the top dead center.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
