Abstract:
To suppress the generation of a gear rattling sound between a crank gear and a balancer gear.SOLUTION: An internal combustion engine comprises: a crankshaft 10 for transmitting rotation torque to a first rotating load (transmission 500) from one part 10a, and transmitting rotation torque to a second rotating load (auxiliary machine 30 and a camshaft) from the other end part 10b; a crank gear 20 arranged at one end part 10A of the crankshaft 10 coaxially therewith; a balance shaft 60 in which one end part 60a is arranged on the first rotating load side, the other end part 60b is arranged on the second rotating load side, and which is aligned in parallel with the crankshaft 10; a balancer gear 70 which is arranged at one end part 60a of the balance shaft 60 coaxially therewith, and engaged with the crank gear 20; and an oil pump 80 for supplying oil in the engine. The oil pump 80 is arranged on the other end part 60b side with respect to the balancer gear 70 of the balance shaft 60.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
