Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve measuring accuracy, extend dynamic range, and save the power consumption of a battery.
SOLUTION: This internal combustion engine is provided with an electromagnetic distorsion element 51 having electrodes 51a, 51b arranged opposedly on both main surfaces of a base 51c sandwiching the base in between, a fuel supplying device 2 for pressurizing fuel by the extending and contracting deformation of the electromagnetic distortion element and supplying the resulting fuel to a combustion chamber, and an ignition device 25 for producing a spark in an ignition plug 26 by discharging the electric charge charged between the electrodes 51a, 51b of the electromagnetic distortion element 51.
