Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal combustion engine capable of reducing engine oil consumption while suppressing friction loss increase.SOLUTION: In an internal combustion engine (10), a portion (48) of a minimum diameter (Dcmin) of a cylinder bore (20) within a movement range (Ls) of a skirt part (38) with reciprocation of a piston (18) is included within a range (Rs) opposite to the skirt part (38) in the case where the piston (18) is being located at a bottom dead point. A clearance ((Dcmin-Ds)/2) between the skirt part (38) and the portion of the minimum diameter is a minimum value in a clearance ((Dc-Ds)/2) between the skirt part (38) and a wall surface of the cylinder bore (20). A tensile force of an oil ring is set greater than a tensile force of a first compression ring, and the tensile force of the first compression ring is set greater than a tensile force of the second compression ring.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
