Abstract:
To provide an internal combustion engine superior in an EGR gas distribution function and condensate removing function.SOLUTION: An EGR passage includes an EGR internal passage 37 formed on a cylinder head 2, an EGR cooler 40 and an EGR valve 43 connected to the EGR internal passage 37, an EGR passage downstream-side second part 45 connected to the EGR valve 43, and an EGR distribution passage 46 connected to the EGR passage downstream-side second part 45. As the EGR valve 43 is disposed on the EGR cooler 40, condensate flows downward and does not accumulate on the way at both of an upstream side and a downstream side of the EGR valve 43. The EGR gas is uniformly distributed to branch pipes 29 of an intake manifold 3 through the EGR distribution passage 46.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
