Title:
INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH06108885
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To eliminate the need for a joint of a throttle shaft portion by mounting first and second carburetor bodies on a throttle body secured on a crankcase, and mounting first and second throttle valves on a rotatable throttle shaft portion and arranging them in first and second throttle body openings.

CONSTITUTION: Each of the two carburetor assemblies 54 of a carburetor unit 30 accommodates a carburetor body 66 including a throttle hole 70 and a throttle shaft portion 82 including a throttle valve arranged in the throttle hole 70. The throttle shaft portions 82 in the carburetor assemblies 54 are concentric, each forming a part of a single throttle shaft 98. The throttle shaft 98 is coupled to a timer base by a link. Thus, first and second throttle valves are mounted on a single throttle shaft 98, therefore, it is possible to eliminate the need for a conventional shaft joint, thereby reducing the number of parts and manufacturing cost.
