Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enable a machine to simultaneously measure an internal diameter during grinding the internal peripheral surface of a workpiece even if it has a small diameter in very small size in the axial direction, by providing a point end position-detecting means for detecting the position of a fork point end in a fixed sizing device from the rotary angle of a driving shaft in an oscillation motor.

CONSTITUTION: An oscillation motor 32, which drives a grinding wheel, brought into contact with the internal peripheral surface of a workpiece, to be vibrated through a grinding wheel table, is supported by the grinding wheel table. The point end of a fork 36 in a fixed sizing device 34 is inserted to and removed from the workpiece being associated with the oscillation of this grinding wheel table, and a position of the point end of the fork 36 in the axial direction of a workpiece hole is detected by a sensor 52 from the rotary angle of a driving shaft in an oscillation motor 62. When the position, detected by this sensor 52, is in the workpiece hole, a workpiece internal diameter-measuring fixed sizing signal, generated from the fixed sizing device 34, is sampled by a sampling means.
