Title:
INTERPOLATION DIGITAL/ANALOG CONVERTER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2001313568
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To effectively reduce the manufacturing cost of a source driver of a TFT-LCD(Thin Film Transistor - Liquid Crystal Display) and its occupied area through the interpolation technology.

This invention provides the interpolation digital/analog converter applied to a source driver of the TFT-LCD that is provided with decoding switches 81, 82 that receive reference voltages and select two reference voltages (V1, V2) among the reference voltages on the basis of high-order bits of a digital image signal, a routing switch 83 that is connected to the decoding switches 81, 82 and selects 1st and 2nd reference voltages V1', V2' on the basis of two low-order bits of the digital image signal, and an interpolation buffer 84 that is connected to the routing switch 83 and generates an interpolation analog signal VOUT on the basis of the 1st and 2nd reference voltages.
